Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
At Kid City we ... will FIND, FOLLOW, and FOCUS on Jesus!
We are a FRIEND of Jesus and He is our FOUNDATION!

Our Classrooms.

The Zoo
NURSERY
The Zoo is a warm, playful space where little ones are lovingly cared for with age-appropriate activities, songs, and lots of smiles. Our team creates a safe, nurturing environment so even our tiniest Journey friends can experience God’s love while you’re in the Worship Gathering.

Music Hall
PRESCHOOL
Kid City Music Hall is open in Room 205 for our young singers! Our 3-5 year olds learn classic Sunday School songs along with their Bible story and verse. Kids must be potty trained, and there’s a restroom right in the classroom.

City Park
KINDERGARTEN - 2ND GRADE
Kid City Park is downstairs in Room 103 and is a fun, park-themed. Kids enjoy group activities like writing a weekly letter to Jesus, along with a memorable, engaging Bible curriculum they'll be talking about all week!

Downtown
3RD - 5TH GRADE
Kid City Downtown (Room 104) is where our pre-teens enjoy four-square, table games, and the same scripture topic taught in the Worship Gathering. Our goal is to send them home with something meaningful to talk about around the dinner table this week!
Frequently Asked Questions - Kids & Family Edition
Where do I check in my child(ren)?
At the Kid City Check-In counter. You will see it as you enter through the main door across the bridge.
- The main door to KID CITY is open at 10:20 am and closed/locked at 10:45 am.
- There are two iPads on the counter as you walk in.
- One of our vetted volunteers will be at that counter to assist you should you need help.
How early can I drop my child(ren) off at class?
The KID CITY door will be open at 10:15am.
When do my kids have to be picked up from class?
We ask that all families with children in any of our Journey Kids classes promptly pick up in their KID CITY classroom as soon as the Worship Gathering ends. This allows time for our volunteers to clean and reset the room and join their families for a few minutes of fellowship.
I am a visitor; do I have to give you my information?
You don't have to give us any information other than your child(ren)'s name(s), birthdate(s), grade(s), and your name and cell phone number in case of an emergency.
How do I check in once I am a regular attendee?
- At the KID CITY check-in counter, one of the iPads asks you to enter the first few letters of your last name, which will bring up your family/household.
- Select your child(ren)'s name(s) and then select "check-in".
- Your child's name-tag will print immediately, as well as a claim ticket for you to present to your child(ren)'s teacher(s) when you pick them up after the Gathering at KID CITY.
What information is printed on my child's name-tag?
Each child receives a printed name-tag for security purposes. It will include the following information:
- Allergy or other medical information
- Cell phone number of the person checking them in (this is necessary if we need to contact you while your child(ren) are in our care)
- Name of the person checking them in
- Child's name
- Security code that matches the code on a printed tag for parents. Security code must be presented to your child's teacher for them to release your child(ren) to you.
I want to fellowship with friends after the Gathering. Can I leave my kid(s) for a few extra minutes?
We want you to have time to fellowship with others, but we ask that you do that with your kid(s) back in your care. Our volunteers have to clean and reset the classrooms for the next week. They also want to fellowship, and we want them to have that opportunity.
How secure is KID CITY?
- We take the security of the whole campus seriously, especially where our kids are concerned.
- The ONLY door accessible to anyone outside the KID CITY wing is the main entrance at the bridge.
- There is a door at the end of the 2nd-floor hallway leading to the pastor's offices, and it is only accessible by pastors and custodians.
- Three other emergency exits are not accessible from the outside (there is no keyhole on the outside).
- We have a vetted volunteer sitting at the KID CITY check-in counter where they can monitor the security cameras and the entry door.
- Children are only released to parents/guardians who have a security tag matching the child's. Security codes are randomly assigned every week.
Do you run background checks on your volunteers/teachers?
- YES! All our adult volunteers are required to submit to a National Background Check. Anyone else (custodians, technicians, plumbers, painters, etc.) in KID CITY must submit to one as well.
- Our volunteers are thoroughly vetted by our Kids & Family Pastor. They have applied, met individually with them, and participated in two extensive training courses each year, in addition to collaboration and communication meetings several times a year,
- Volunteers are required to adhere to all policies presented to them in the Journey Kids Volunteer Handbook.
I have a question that is not listed here.
